The back seat of Barts' car

My mother always told me that I would marry a man who was eye level, this made me MAD....I told her not so. Unfortunatly the guys I did date were eye level and I did not want her to be right on this one. I decided to pray for a tall guy, and this is how it went.

Bart and Martha called me an invited me to go to a single adult fireside in Manchester Conn, I said, "Pick me up about 5pm." I got myself ready, wearing my red caftan with small white dots that I had just made and really looked good in along with my dark blue platform wedges. Bart had a black two door sadan that was small, price of gas, you know, 79 cents per gallon...way high for gas. Bart arrived with Martha to go to the activity. Bart said, "By the way we are picking a sailor up at the base on the way." I said, "ok." Martha told me she and Bart were engaged and would be marrying...what a shock...you could tell they were met for each other, they seemed so much alike. We went on base to pick up "the sailor". As we drove up to the barracks, there stood a guy in a multi-colored very stylish shirt and dark pants, he had a mustash. Martha opened the door pulled back the set and he got in. He has beautiful light blue eyes, thin and sort of cute. He was not much for conversation however, he said, Hi I'm Tom Pardon. We arrived at the Manchester chapel. Bart and Martha got out of the car than Tom..as I got out of the back seat he was standing there holding the car door open for me. I looked up and up and up...WOW I thought, "I'm in LOVE. I asked, "how tall are you?" He said, "6'4"....take that mom...you were wrong....my prayers, answered! Tom and I sat together and walked around the chapel, I did most of the talking and he most of the listening. We have been together for 32 almost 33 years and are in HOT love. As the children will tell you this is true...we have been told on a number of occasions to get a room.
